Problem of the Day: 12/15/12

A membership subscription to Classy Clothiers costs $10 per month with an initial fee of $25. A membership to Terrific Tailors costs $15 per month with no initial fee. After how many months will the cost for both subscriptions be the same?

Solution to yesterday’s problem:
The question asked for numbers with an odd number of factors. As factors come in pairs, the only way a number can have an odd number of factors is if one factor pair is the same factor twice; the number is a perfect square. So there are 10 numbers less than or equal to 100 with an odd number of factors: 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, and 100.
